VI. I interviewed two individuals to see what their response would be to my (our) plan. Their responses are as follows.
Price does not matter people should have the right to know what is in the food they are feeding their family. All 3 of the people I interviewed thought labels should be required. I also interviewed my mom and she feels strongly about labeling food. She believes that we should require it. Although at home we don't always make sure everything we eat is not genetically modified. We do shop at organic stores a lot. We also cut down on how much red meat we eat.
VII. My (our) answer, based on our research, to their objections and concerns are
that no differences have been proven to among GM food and conventional foods. People against passing this bill believe that those who are concerned about eating GM foods should strictly shop at organic stores where the food wont be produced with GM ingredients. The storage processing and transportation facilities in this country would not be able to segregate GM and non-GM foods.
